I have broad experience in applied biological research (7 years as head of research for a lobster exporter), senior management (16 years as CEO of the world's largest lobster exporter) and as an adult literacy and numeracy teacher, working with mostly indigenous students. I have had a life-long interest in helping others attain their educational potential, having served as Chair on a regional University Centre board and on a public school board, as I know how transformational education can be, especially for those facing socio-economic disadvantage. My profile and background is a little different to most on this platform, and so I'm interested to see what comes up, and how I can best help others achieve their potential.
