My name is Rohan Hicks, I am currently in my fourth year of a B Laws/ B Arts double degree at Newcastle University, with a major in History and minors in Ancient History and Philosophy. I have been studying these subjects since 2015 and have realised a passion for philosophical, historical and academic writing in the process. I am also an avid musician with 20 years experience in guitar and several years learning bass, drums and piano. I started my own music tuition business last year, after a decade in the music industry. In this business I teach musicology, improvisation, confidence building and instrumental proficiency. Through the dual pathways of music and academia, I have discovered a way of teaching and learning that can be transferable across a range of skills one may learn in life. I am seeking to assist others in their work, editing and creating new pieces of creative and academic writing.

I have been fortunate enough to have a wide variety of teaching experiences as a teacher and researcher of education in several countries, which include Portugal, Australia, China, Argentina, Brazil, Peru, and Colombia, where I have been teaching Arts, Languages, and Management in elementary, middle and high schools, music schools as well as conservatoriums of music, universities and governmental programs.
