Are you or your child keen to try your hand at fine art? Or are you already painting and want to expand your practice by exploring other mediums and styles? My classes will not only help develop practical techniques but will also expand your art theory knowledge base. This is done without restricting your creativity or unique style. Each class is customised to the student or group, meaning that they can be as fun or as intense as you require. The topics covered will depend on your interests and skill level e.g. a beginner student may stick to drawing with pencils and painting with acrylic with less focus theory. Or there may be a specific glazing method which could be of interest to a more advanced oil painter. Topics can include: Painting: • Oil/Acrylic theory • Colour theory • Practical painting techniques • Use of different brushes, mediums, surfaces Drawing: • Various drawing styles (gestural/contour) • Drawing from photos/life • Pencils/charcoal/ink/pastel/etc

Are you afraid of narrowing your mindset and enjoyment to just one specialised artform, uncertain whether it will be a fulfilling lifestyle? Do you want to participate in several arts and build up your general competency level, and grow in your enjoyment of life as well as a thirst for knowledge about it? When learning with me, we will focus on not only technique but broadening your mind so that you get the most practical use out of your work, and in turn develop your interest in self-discipline, critical thinking and cultural enlightenment. It is important for you to be the source of your own enjoyment, as you must find in yourself the source of success also. One does not come without the other, so with me your lessons will be determined into two parts, to make yourself enjoyable, and make yourself self-disciplined.
